Christoph Mussenbrock

Christoph has a long record of accomplishment in the cooperative banking sector in Germany. After several years on the board of a cooperative bank, he switched to the IT segment and became Chief Program Manager Credit Solutions and Chief of Strategy Development at Fiducia & GAD IT AG – one of Germany’s biggest IT Service Providers. Since 2015, he has been CEO of parcIT GmbH, one of Germany’s best-known companies specialized in risk management solutions. Due to his many years of working in the field of banking and insurance, Christoph is highly experienced in all matters concerning regulatory frameworks. He also co-founded Progeno Wohnungsgenossenschaft eG, a housing cooperative in Munich, which has successfully crowdfunded a large residential project in Munich. Christoph has a master’s degree in mathematics and wrote his thesis on formal soft- and hardware verification.

Felizitas Mussenbrock-Strauß

Felizitas Mussenbrock-Strauß was born 1968 in Aachen. After completing her apprenticeship as a tax consultant, she gained 13 years of experience in a tax law firm. Soon she took over a responsible position in senior management. In addition, she completed a training as a HR specialist. Afterwards, she joined an IT and media start-up as CFO. Together with Christoph and some friends, Felizitas founded Progeno Housing Cooperative in Munich, which has successfully crowdfunded a larger appartment complex. As a community manager, she is responsible for the members of the cooperative and for communication and organization. Since the beginning of 2017, Felizitas has taken care of the financial and human resource management of Etherisc.

Matthias Zimmerman

My curiosity about innovative technologies and open source keeps me in a constant state of learning. After a PhD and a postdoc in applied machine learning I switched to a more settled lifestyle and worked in technical lead roles for enterprise software product companies over the last 15 years. In the last three years with the architectural responsibility to move a comprehensive insurance software product to a container based platform. While reading "Mastering Bitcoin" in 2016 I got hooked on blockchain technologies and then concentrated on Ethereum. One year later I met Christoph at his talk "Reinventing Insurance" in Zurich. The potential to completely automatize and decentralize many forms of insurances felt very compelling and I started to loosely follow Etherisc on Twitter. Begin able today to work with the creative minds of Etherisc and its community and to contribute to a more open and transparent world makes me feel both happy and excited!

Jan Stockhausen

Jan Stockhausen is a qualified lawyer under German law (Rechtsanwalt). After studying law at the University of Giessen (Germany) and at the London School of Economics, he obtained his bar qualification while working for a magic circle firm. Jan gained in-depth experience in the international financial services industry working for global financial institutions, banks and law firms in various jurisdictions in Europe, Latin America and Asia. Jan is fluent in German, English, Spanish, French and Portuguese and registered with the Düsseldorf Bar Association as well as the Malta Chamber of Advocates.

Michiel Berende

Michiel Berende started his career as an underwriter and process manager for a Dutch insurer. In this role he got involved in microinsurance when he visited India in 2004. In India he supported DHAN Foundation in their search for insurance technology. Working at the grassroots inspired Michiel to resign his corporate job and go live and work in India. There he worked at the Tata - Dhan Academy where he established a knowledge centre for microinsurance. In 2006 Michiel became a member of the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor’s Working Group on Microinsurance, nowadays called the Microinsurance Network. Focussing on inclusive insurance and technology. He conducted projects in Asia, Latin America and Africa. Since 2014 Michiel aims to enhance access to financial services through blockchain technology.

Hui Lin Chiew

Hui Lin drives Etherisc’s decentralised insurance projects in Asia and Africa. She has over 10 years’ experience in financial sector regulations and policy, specialising in developing inclusive insurance markets. Prior to Etherisc, Hui Lin spent 4 years at the Access to Insurance Initiative developing learning toolkits, training programmes and research for emerging market insurance regulators. She started out at the Malaysian central bank and insurance regulator, where a career highlight was designing and rolling out the inclusive insurance regulatory framework (“Perlindungan Tenang”) which brought insurance to over 1 million policyholders.

Peter Koch

After training as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant, Peter worked in the furniture trade in a sales cooperative. After some years he joined Fiducia IT AG (today Atruvia AG), the IT provider for cooperative banks in Germany. From 2000 onwards he completed studies in business administration and bank management and changed to product management, where he was responsible for developing and supporting electronic banking platforms and afterwards for savings deposits. In addition, analysis of market potentials, marketing strategy applications, process optimization were among his main tasks. Peter has moved to Bali in 2013, where he has opened a dive center and works as dive instructor. Peter is excited to be able to make a contribution to a more just and social world together with all the creative minds at Etherisc.

Sebastian Schlitter

Sebastian is yet another addition to our team and will be responsible for the management of the community related topics and ressources. As a Münchner Kindl now based in Saigon, Sebi has a strong operations & logistics background. With his hands-on mentality he will act as the liaison (officer) between etherisc´s departments, the community, partners and shareholders. Sebastian describes himself as a crypto native with an unquenchable thirst to tap into all blockchain and crypto related developments that will eventually shape the future.

Marc Doerflinger

Marc Doerflinger is a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys learning new things and working on (and with) open source software. After finishing his MSc in computer science he worked in the finance industry and developed software for ATMs and web applications. During the last four months he was working for a leading Swiss health insurance software company where he helped develop an insurance ERP platform. Being able to develop open source software, automating things from end to end while being able to dive into the blockchain world sounded intriguing. That's how he came to join Etherisc.

Susanne Austin

Susanne looks after platform/ token economic and our strategic communications. She started her career in marketing, spent several years as a management consultant and then focused on strategy, change, programme and portfolio management in a UK insurance business, including directly supporting the CEO/ Exec. Having spent many years in the end-to-end complexities of "traditional" insurance and financial services, she if really excited about the potential of Etherisc's blockchain technology and working with its creative team and community.

Lydia Mussenbrock

Lydia became part of the Etherisc team in March 2022 and since then has taken on various Project and Product Management responsibilities. This goes hand in hand with her Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics, which she is currently studying. The skills she learned during her studies in the fields of software engineering, management and organization, design and marketing find excellent application at Etherisc.

Damian Groß

Damian has recently joined the Etherisc team and takes over product management tasks. He has hands-on experience in marketing, product development, and design. Damian brings along experience in designing web interfaces, creating logos, icons and other GUI elements. He has expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Animate, Adobe Photoshop, Figma, and Vyond Studios. Damian will support the Etherisc team from conceptualization to implementation.
